Laparoscopic Repair of Hernia
Laparoscopic hernia repair is a minimally invasive surgical technique used for repairing various types of hernias. This procedure uses three to four small incisions and a tool called a laparoscope, or a thin tube with a camera on the end, to guide the surgeon.
What is Hernia?
A hernia occurs when an internal organ or tissue pushes through a weak spot or opening in the surrounding muscle or connective tissue, often creating a noticeable bulge. It most commonly happens in the abdominal area but can also occur in the groin, upper thigh, or belly button.
